Which personal data we process
- First and last name
- Address details (delivery and billing address)
- Email address and phone number
- Order and payment details (the payment itself is handled by our payment providers; we do not see full card or account details)
- Data about your visit to our website, such as IP address, browser and device type
- Only with your consent: data about your click and browsing behaviour for statistics and advertising
Purposes and legal basis
- Fulfilling your order: production, shipping, payment, customer service and returns (performance of the contract).
- Legal obligations: such as the statutory tax retention period (legal obligation).
- Newsletter and review request: only if you signed up or after a purchase, always with an unsubscribe link (consent or legitimate interest).
- Improving the website and statistics: only with your consent via the cookie banner.
- Advertising: measuring and tailoring our ads on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, only with your consent via the cookie banner.
Cookies and similar technologies
On your first visit we ask for your consent via the cookie banner. You choose: accept all, reject all or choose per category. We always place necessary cookies, because the shop does not work without them. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the cookie icon at the bottom left of the website.

We only place statistics and marketing cookies after you have given consent. Without consent we also do not send advertising data to Meta or Google via our server.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We only share it when needed for your order or when required by law, with: Shopify (shop platform), our payment providers, carriers for delivery and, only with your consent, Meta, Google and Microsoft for statistics and advertising. Some of these parties are located outside the EU; transfers are based on appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
We keep order and invoice data for 7 years due to the statutory tax retention obligation. Other data is kept no longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Each cookie has its own retention period, which you can view in the cookie settings.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict processing, to object and to data portability. You can withdraw consent at any time. Submit your request via our privacy requests page or email support@artifycanvas.com. We respond within four weeks.
Not happy with how we handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or the supervisory authority in your country.
Security
We take appropriate measures to protect your data. Our website uses a secure connection (https), and payments are handled by certified payment providers.
